Joshua Bogatin is a freelance film critic, filmmaker, editor, and programmer based in New York City. As a writer he has contributed to Mubi Notebook, Screen Slate, Senses of Cinema, DMovies, and many other publications. As a filmmaker and editor he has worked on projects that have screened at the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, and other international film festivals. He also freelances as a programmer for Spectacle Theater in Brooklyn, NY where he programs films from all over the world and ran a bi-weekly screening series dedicated to Hong Kong cinema.
