The artistic director at Locarno Film Festival has recently stepped down and Giona Nazzaro, the long-time head of the Venice Film Festival’s Critics’ Week, has been appointed as the new artistic director of Locarno. As a result, he has put together a new ‘selection’ committee for the festival. On this occasion, we had an interview with Giona Nazzaro where we tried to discuss the new approach to film selection at Locarno, their new ‘selection’ committee, plans to keep the festival going in the post-Coronavirus world, and the future of the festival.
