Mohammad Rasoulof, a famous director, was sentenced to 8 years in prison

According to the report of Mansour Jahani, an independent and international cinema journalist, Mohammad Rasoulof, a well-known director of Iranian cinema, was sentenced to 8 years in prison, whipping, fine and confiscation of property, according to the verdict issued by the 29th branch of the Islamic Revolution Court.

Babak Paknia, the lawyer of Mohammad Rasulof wrote in his user account on X channel: According to the verdict issued by the 29th branch of the Islamic Revolution Court of Iran, Mohammad Rasoulof was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment (5 years applicable), flogging, fine cash and confiscation of property was condemned. This ruling was confirmed in the 36th branch of the Court of Appeals and now; The case has been sent to enforcement.
